Viscoderm Hydrobooster FAQ's

What areas of the face can be treated?

VISCODERM is indicated for treatment of moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles (temple and forehead lines, crow’s feet, malar and submalar wrinkles and vertical lip lines) where treatment with botulinum toxin cannot be effective. It is also indicated for static facial lines (nasolabial fold, marionette lines).

Is Viscoderm better than anti wrinkle injections?

Viscoderm offers natural and harmonious results. This is the main reason why it’s the only product in the market to offer an alternative to anti wrinkle injections with botulinum toxin type – A. It’s ideal for patients who don’t want to consider using toxin for treatment, either out of principle or fear of not looking natural and subtle enough.

The two treatments are entirely different as Viscoderm is a hydrostreching hyaluronic acid base product whereas anti wrinkle injections are neurotoxins, which relax the muscle expressions.

Although our patients' requests are at the epicentre of our bespoke treatments we cannot stress enough that a combination of both treatments can only provide miracles.

What’s involved in the treatment?

The full procedure can take up to 60 minutes. A topical agent needs to be applied and left on your skin for 30 to 40 minutes.

The treatment itself involves multiple tiny injections in the mid-deep dermis administered using either a microlinear retrograde, microbolous technique or combination of both (Duodynamic technique) in the areas of the face requiring deep hydration.

A light massage is recommended after the treatment for optimal results.

How long does Viscoderm last and what is the treatment protocol?

The Viscoderm protocol involves 2 treatments with a 2 month interval, repeated twice a year. The improvement is usually visible after the first week but it takes 8 weeks for the first session to show the full results and another 8 weeks following the second session for optimal results.

Thanks to the perfect integration in the skin, Viscoderm adapts to the unique characteristics of the face resulting in a harmonious, long-lasting improvement of elasticity, radiance and smoothness.
