Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure where fine needles create tiny punctures in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing process, leading to increased production of collagen and elastin. This enhances the skin's texture, firmness, and overall appearance.

Microneedling FAQ's

How many sessions will I need and when will I see results?

The number of microneedling sessions required depends on the individual's skin condition and goals. Typically, a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Initial improvements may be visible after the first session, but the most noticeable results usually develop over several months as collagen production continues and the skin heals and rejuvenates.

What should I expect during and after a microneedling treatment?

During a microneedling session, a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin to minimize discomfort. The procedure involves using a microneedling device to create tiny punctures in the skin, and each session takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Post-treatment, the skin may be red and slightly sensitive, resembling a mild sunburn. It's important to avoid sun exposure, strenuous activities, and certain skincare products for a few days after the treatment. Most individuals can resume their normal activities shortly after the procedure.
